Plans and billing

The firewall is free. Paying moves your history off a single machine and adds team controls.

The plans

Team is a flat bundle, not a per-seat rate: adding a teammate inside your bundle costs nothing extra. Full comparison on the pricing page.

Upgrading

Sign in at your billing pageand pick a plan. Checkout is handled by Stripe; we never see your card details. Your licence flips to the new tier as soon as the payment succeeds, and machines pick it up on their next refresh — within about 12 hours, or immediately if you run guardrail activate again.

Changing or cancelling

Everything else — switching between monthly and yearly, changing Team bundle size, updating a card, or cancelling — happens in the Stripe billing portal, reachable from your billing page. Cancelling leaves you on the paid plan until the end of the period you already paid for, then drops you to Free.

Nothing breaks when a plan ends. An expired or cancelled plan never bricks the daemon: it falls back to Free and keeps enforcing your local budgets. You lose the hosted dashboard and the longer history window, not the firewall.

Invoices

The last 12 months of invoices are listed on your billing page, each with a PDF link. Older invoices are available in the Stripe portal.

Trials

A trial is the full Pro experience for 7 days. The clock starts when you run guardrail activate, not when the code is issued, so requesting one early costs you nothing. No card is required, and it lapses to Free on its own.
